Bucket Drumming Course

Delivery mode—Online

For teachers and music educators who would like extra support with their Bucket Music Program. 

This online course will introduce teachers and music educators to the teaching methods and strategies for the Bucket Music Program. Additionally, teachers will develop hands-on skills in bucket drumming and rhythm reading. Over the four weeks, teachers receive weekly lessons, which will include step-by-step video instructions on how to play and teach the exercises and compositions. Included are opportunities for questions and live discussions. By the end of the course, teachers can expect to feel prepared to deliver a Bucket Music program with confidence. This flexible delivery allows teachers to study at their own convenience.

Prerequisites

• A copy of Bucket Music: Learning to the Beat of a Different Drum
• Two plastic buckets—one 19 litre/5 gallon bucket and one 38 litre/10 gallon garbage container.
• A set of drumsticks

*Some familiarity with rhythmic notation is helpful but not necessary to participate in this program. Advanced musicians and beginners are all welcome.
